The presentation will provide an overview of the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey (ACS) and how the data can help highlight local demographic trends and characteristics.

Presented by Dr. Monica Cruz and Janine Geppert

Dr. Cruz serves as a legislative liaison with the Texas legislature and supports the data needs of the Center’s network of statewide and local affiliates. Her research interests include housing, economic development, poverty, and employment.

Ms. Geppert has over 10 years of experience coordinating quantitative and qualitative research projects in both the public and private sector. Currently, Ms. Geppert coordinates both interagency cooperation contracts as well as sponsored research cooperation contracts.
